When you own it, it’s really yours. Nobody can take it away or delete it. It doesn’t come with ads or viruses either. Buying a record or CD helps the band more than some big company or rich man who runs a streaming site.

It’s more exciting too. Streaming is fine, but holding the real thing is better. You can see it, smell it, read the words inside and take it all in. You remember where you were the first time you played it, how it made you feel. That stays with you a lot longer than just another playlist on your phone.
